Jared My son Jared was a 6th grader at Roxboro Middle school when he decided to start attending the Heights United Soccer Academy (then called the Eastside Summer Soccer Camp) in 2005. He wanted to make the Roxboro Middle School soccer team, and set a goal for himself to play varsity at Cleveland Heights High School. The intensive daily training at HUSA, combined with his Eastside Kickers experience and individual instruction, allowed him to progress from an athletic, determined but somewhat skilled 12-year-old to a 14-year-old Freshman starter on the 2007 Cleveland Heights High School Varsity Soccer Team. Jared was one of the starting strikers in the 2007 High School Division I District Finals. He now plays on 3 different teams including a premier U15 team and a High School 'A' league indoor soccer team, playing against 17- and 18-year-olds. Jared is 5'2" tall and 105 lbs, so he was able to accomplish this despite his small stature, due to the skills he has learned in the past 3 years. Jared is now a Junior Counselor at HUSA, and his next goal is to take the Heights Tigers to the Regional Championship, and to play for a ranked Division I college team. Jared's success in soccer has given him the confidence to set a goal and fulfill it, knowing that all it takes is hard work and determination. Soccer has given Jared a goal that he works hard to accomplish, and ESSC/HUSA has given him the means to accomplish that goal. -- Justin Alcorn "When I first came to camp, I didn't know much about soccer. I learned fun footskills that I now use in games." ~Keren - a talented, athletic 4th grader who never played soccer before. After one summer at HUSA/ESSC she made the Eastside Kicker's traveling team.
